San Antonio, TX – On Monday, the 23-year-old Texas woman caught on video beating her puppy on an apartment balcony lost custody of the pup in court. Havanna Miller was arrested on Saturday, January 18, after heartbreaking video surfaced on social media showing her screaming at and repeatedly striking a defenseless puppy on an apartment balcony in the 12000 block of Culebra.

The puppy, Thanos, was seized by the City of San Antonio’s Animal Care Services but Miller did not relinquish custody. In court on Monday, January 27, Miller lost custody of the three-month-old toy poodle.

Thanos is being cared for by an “experienced foster” for the animal care services facility. The pup will remain in foster care until the legal proceedings against Miller have finalized and he is not available for adoption until the process has concluded.
