Update 6/5/2023: Rescued by Ark Charities!!
Downey, CA – A big, beautiful German shepherd has run out of time at a busy California animal shelter. The eight-year-old dog, Dandy, has been at the Downey Animal Control since April 7, and he is on the “urgent” list of dogs who must exit the facility.
This big boy (weighing in at a whopping 119 pounds!) was taken in as a stray on April 7, and though he most likely had an owner, nobody ever came to the shelter to claim him.
An advocate has described Dandy as happy and sweet. German shepherds are devoted companions with exceptional intelligence. At eight years of age, Dandy likely wants nothing more than slow strolls with his person and a soft bed to lounge on during the day.
Will you please take a moment to share Dandy’s adoption information? Time is of the essence to save this handsome dog’s life.
