The Only Family Elsa Knew Moved To Brazil, Leaving Her At Shelter

Orlando, FL – On October 3, a cat named Elsa was brought to the Orange County Animal Services facility and surrendered by her family, who was moving to Brazil. According to Albert Harris Photography, Elsa had lived with her family since she was just a kitten.

In a social media post, Harris writes:

Two days ago, an owner came with her daughter & wanted to surrender a cat for the reason above. He mentioned he had Elsa for the past 5 years since she was a kitten and loved her dearly. However he has to part ways with her. He and his daughter would hug their family cat for the last time & went on their day so they can get to the airport to Brazil.

Now Elsa sits in her kennel run, scared and uncertain – mourning the loss of her home and her family.

Elsa did not ask to be left alone at an unfamiliar shelter facility, and she certainly does not deserve the hand she has been dealt. Please share her story and help her find a new, loving and devoted owner.
