Manila, Arkansas – A 20-year-old Arkansas man was arrested on three counts of cruelty to animals last week after the shipping label on a box of abandoned puppies led investigators to him. As reported by KAIT 8 News, three puppies in a box were abandoned at the Wagner Car Wash on Highway 18.

The box, found in one of the car wash bays, had a shipping label with the name and address of Jeremy Roberts on it. The clue led the police to Roberts’ Manila home.

When the police questioned the man, he admitted to abandoning the two-month-old puppies. Roberts was arrested on January 14 and taken to the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office. He promptly bonded out.
