Shelter Intends to Kill Playful Pup Who Constantly Seeks Attention

San Bernardino, CA – A playful pup, found on January 14 while chasing a FedEx truck, is facing a premature end to his life at the city of San Bernardino animal control facility. The year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever, dubbed Mason, must depart the facility by January 24 because he is constantly seeking attention at the shelter.

An advocate writes:

The reason they are planning to euthanize a young, healthy dog is because they state, “Constantly jumping on staff and humping their legs, nipped at their clothing (shirts and pants) to solicit attention. Locked front legs around staff legs and hips.”

The person who found Mason described him as “playful, fun, and energetic,” words typically associated with pups who are full of life.

But Mason will not have the chance to live out his life if someone does not step up soon to save him. Mason is young, healthy, and playful, but he is one of many in need of a safe have. Please take a moment to share Mason’s adoption information – your networking may be responsible for saving his life.
