Residents On Alert Following Discovery Of Several Mutilated Cats

Houston, TX – Residents near an East End Houston neighborhood are on edge following a series of disturbing discoveries. As reported by Click2Houston News, three mutilated cats have been found in the Park Drive area since August 26.

The dead cats have all suffered the same fate…their bodies cut in half and the remains “spread out” for all to see. Jackson Hime tells the news agency, “My mom was out walking her dog, and she passed by, saw that black cat was severed in half. It doesn’t look natural to me.” He adds, “For this to happen three times in two weeks when we haven’t seen anything like this in 30 years, I find it hard to believe that that’s just a random animal attack.”

The Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation to see if the cats died at the hands of a human. The Houston SPCA seems to believe that the cats died because of coyote attacks. Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police, or the Houston SPCA at 713-869-7722.
