Shelby Township, MI – On Saturday, an injured deer who was stuck in a metal fence, was rescued by police officers in Shelby Township. The Shelby Township Police officers who were dispatched to help are identified as Officers Herman, Pomante and Zachary.

The injured deer was transported to an emergency veterinary hospital for care.
Because of the officers’ quick actions, the deer is expected to make a full recovery and should be able to be released into the wild.
The Police Department’s Facebook post about the rescue effort has been met with gratitude.
