Newborn Kittens Rescued From Trash Compactor

Nashville, TN – Four kittens were spared a tragic demise after being rescued from a trash compactor at a dump in Lewisburg. According to Lucky’s Cat House, the newborn kittens were found and rescued moments before the machine turned on.

In a Facebook post, the rescue group said:

We can’t fathom how anyone could be so cruel, but we are incredibly grateful that they were discovered before it was too late.
We had a foster step and when we retrieved them, they were covered in filth and had a terrible smell. One kitten was taken by a momma cat, likely who heard the babies crying and was just trying to help. They are on the lookout for them.

After the kittens were cleaned up, the volunteers could see that they were healthy and had recently eaten, writing, “These kittens were people friendly, had very few fleas, and had eaten somewhat recently. This was a beyond cruel and intentional attempt at ending their lives.”

The kittens are all safe and out of harm’s way. If you are interested in learning more, you can find the rescue organization on Facebook here.
