Man Charged For Abandoning Mastiff, Tied To Light Pole Beside Busy Highway

New York – A 65-year-old man is facing charges for abandoning a Mastiff who was found tied up with a note and food bowl by a busy highway. As reported by NBC New York, New York State troopers rescued the dog, Roxi, from the Southern State Parkway on July 1.

Roxi was tied to a pole with a note and a bowl of food.

The note provided the dog’s name and age and asked for her finder to give her “good care.”

Roxi was taken to the Town of Hempstead animal shelter and recently, police identified Glenroy Bramble as the man who abandoned her. Bramble is facing a misdemeanor charge of abandonment of an animals and a violation for failure to provide appropriate shelter for a dog. He is due to appear in Nassau County District Court on Aug. 19.
