Houston, TX – A Houston man is accused of bludgeoning his wife to death with a clothing iron and dumping her four dogs on a freeway. According to sources 34-year-old Chance Zane Chavez killed Kristen Chavez, 32, in their central northwest home last week.

Three of the four dogs were found by good Samaritans, but one, a Dachshund named Peaches, did not survive.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Peaches was found dead in a plastic bag.

Chavez was arrested at the scene of the crime and booked into the Harris County Jail on $250,000 bond. He faces life in prison or the death penalty if he is found guilty of his charges.
