Barnstable, Massachusetts – An “incredibly friendly” dog is receiving much-needed care after someone abandoned him in Barnstable. According to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, the dog, dubbed Little Man, is emaciated.

On Tuesday, the animal welfare agency said:

“he was found likely abandoned in an emaciated condition in a neighborhood on Cape Cod. Little Man was not wearing a collar or ID tags and was not microchipped. Despite his condition, Little Man is incredibly friendly and trusting toward everyone he’s met while in our care.”

According to NBC Boston, Little Man was initially taken in at an animal control agency, but after his stray hold expired and nobody came forward to claim him, he was transferred to the Animal Rescue League’s Brewster facility.
