Handsome, Young Shepherd Picked Up As ‘Stray’ And Nobody Came To Get Him

Baldwin Park, CA – On July 2, a handsome, young German shepherd was picked up as a stray and taken to the Baldwin Park animal control center. The purebred dog, Mango, knows some commands and shows signs that he is housebroken…clearly he was someone’s pet, but nobody came to get him.

Mango is not even two years of age, and already he is homeless and one of many dogs who are at risk of losing their life simply because they have been let down.

He is one handsome, smart boy who will make any fan of the German Shepherd breed totally swoon!
• 1 year old, 72 lbs
• Neutered male
• Classic black and tan German Shepherd coat, with a very handsome face, sweet eyes and alert ears
• Medium energy level
• Gentle dog, who takes a little bit of time to warm up but is affectionate once he does
• Still young and very much has that puppy quality
• Knows sit and paw, but otherwise pretty much a blank slate and will need additional training to learn the basics
• Walks okay on leash
• Loyal and very intelligent which should make training easy
• Shows signs of housebreaking
• Okay with other calm dogs
