For Two Years, Sad Dog Has Watched People Walk Past Her Lonely Kennel Run

Philadelphia, PA – For two years, a lonesome dog has watched people walk past her kennel run at the Pennsylvania SPCA. Lily, a mixed breed dog not quite five years of age, longs to be loved, but instead she is struggling with being an unwanted shelter dog.

Two days ago, the shelter wrote of Lily’s struggles:

For two years, Lily has watched person after person walk past her kennel.
Rarely, do they stop and ask about her.
The truth is, Lily struggles in the shelter. For a dog that loves exploring the great big world and being with her people so much, kennel life is hard.

Describing her transformation outside of the facility:

But, once outside, you can see the stress melt away as she romps around the yard with her favorite stuffy toy in tow.
And their hope that someone will give her a chance:
We know that in a home with a family willing to continue her training, Lily will make the most amazing companion. All she needs is for someone to take a chance on her… and her many stuffies.
Please consider giving Lily a home – she has been waiting far too long.
