Felony Animal Cruelty Charges Filed After Discovery of 40 Dead Cats in Apartment

Paso Robles, CA – Felony animal cruelty charges have been filed against a Paso Robles apartment manager after the discovery of 40 dead cats and deplorable conditions in a unit at the Presidio Apartments, at 1040 Chestnut St.

According to sources, Laurie Bryant is facing seven felony counts of animal cruelty for intentional abuse, depriving animals of necessary sustenance, drink or shelter and subjecting animals to needless suffering.

As reported by the San Luis Obispo Tribune, an arrest warrant was issued for Bryant, but she is not in custody and there are currently no court dates on file for her.

Officials said that the feces and condition of the cat corpses indicated the situation had been happening for “years and years.”
