Update: Rescued!!
Chesterfield, SC – A young dog at the Chesterfield Animal Shelter has given up hope of being saved. The three-year-old dog, dubbed Lucy, was rescued from a hoarding situation and taken to the animal shelter where she delivered a litter of puppies.
Because of the stressful environment, all of Lucy’s puppies died. It is clear that Lucy is broken inside.

A social media post made on Lucy’s behalf reveals the depth of her despair:
I met Lucy today at the Chesterfield Co. shelter today and could about feel my heart breaking right in my chest.
Lucy is approximately three years old and came from a hoarding situation. She is completely shut down, so much so she won’t even lift her head. She is so terrified and so shut down, the shelter is no place for this innocent little girl who has clearly been dealt a crappy hand in life. From hoarding to the shelter, no wonder she has zero hope.
