Update 3/15/2025: Rescued!
San Bernardino, CA – A six-year-old dog named Jam is heartbroken after being adopted and then returned to the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter. Adding insult to injury, Jam is “deadlined” for 3/17, meaning she must leave the facility, or she will be put down.
Save SBC Shelter Friends writes, “DEADLINED 3/17/25 Returned by adopter after only few days, shes heartbroken , kenneled with 3 large dogs!”
Notes from the shelter facility:
Adoption Return 3/12/25 Foster return 3/14/25
Kennel card notes:
03/14/25 Weight: 84.00 pounds the foster parent had taken the dog to an animal hospital near her home because she had been slobbering more than usual and was showing signs of inappetence and appeared lethargic. The hospital did run blood work and currently the most significant issue they found was that her T4 level was low and that she possibly may have hypothyroidism. They have provided medication for the short term; however, this the patient may need further examinations and possible future medical treatments, especially since hypothyroidism can be a possible life-long medical condition.
If the patient’s health declines, we may have to consider possible earlier humane euthanasia. This patient will need a medical wavier if adopted or redeemed.
This pretty girl needs a miracle. Please share her adoption information and help her make it out of this facility alive.
