Commerce City, Colorado – A dog died after being thrown from a moving car in Commerce City on the night of November 23. According to the Commerce City Police Department, the dog was thrown from the passenger side window of a moving car at the intersection of East 64th Avenue and Monaco Street.
A good Samaritan stayed by the grievously injured dog’s side until the police arrived, but devastating injuries were found at an emergency veterinary hospital. The authorities explain, “We transported him to the emergency veterinarian but sadly his spine was broken, and he was in both tremendous pain and unable to move. This sweet boy had to be euthanized.”
Adding, “The person or people responsible for this terrible act face felony aggravated animal cruelty charges. Please, if you can, help us find them.”
An update from the police indicates the owner of the dog, identified as Rambo, was located. The individual told the police that Rambo was in the backyard when he left and gone when he returned. The investigation is ongoing.
