Canton, OH – A judge, who said he was disgusted by a shocking animal cruelty crime, sentenced Allexis Ferrell to jail time for killing and eating a cat in August. On Monday, Ferrell pleaded guilty to a felony charge of animal cruelty charge before Judge Frank Forchione sentenced her to one year in jail.

Judge Forchione said, “This is repulsive to me. I mean, that anyone would do this to an animal. And an animal’s like a child. I don’t know if you understand that or not. I can’t express the disappointment, shock, disgust that this crime has brought to me.

Ferrell will spend another 18 months behind bars for two other crimes – one from 2019, and another from 2023.

Her attorney cited problems with drugs and alcohol for her appalling behavior; he is arranging for inpatient treatment after she gets out of jail.
