Deputies Rescue Goat Locked In Cage Inside Car With No Food Or Water

Arapahoe County, Colorado – A baby goat was recently rescued by deputies in Arapahoe County. According to the sheriff’s office, the goat, Nibbles, was locked in a cage, inside a car, with no access to food or water.

The baby goat had been in this situation before. On March 7, the sheriff’s office said that the owner was given a warning.

But Nibbles remained in the cage, in the car, and on March 23 deputies seized him and he was turned over to the Denver Dumb Friends League (DDFL).

Nibbles is safe and receiving care. The sheriff’s office said:

DDFL does not normally accept goats, but given the circumstances, they took the animal in. The shelter says it will hold onto Nibbles for now and do a complete medical check to make sure the goat is healthy before it finds the proper placement for it.

The owner was issued a Summons for Animal Cruelty, a Class 1 Misdemeanor.
