Southington, Ohio – A grim discovery was made on County Line Turnpike Rd in Southington on Tuesday evening. According to Jason Cooke, animal control services contractor for Warren, said he was contacted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatch about a deceased dog; he writes:
The dog was found dead in a large crate with the one leg bent backwards and wedged into the crate door…there were two food bowls and two blankets in the crate…
The dog, estimated to be four years of age, was wearing a Remington collar. Cooke requested help from the public to determine who the owner is,
If anyone recognizes this dog, or has information about his owner, please message The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project Facebook page so that whomever did this to this poor dog can be held accountable.
There is speculation that the crated dog, dubbed Alex, was thrown from a moving vehicle.
Rest easy Alex.
