Update! Safe with Paws Pet Adoption of Plainview
Midland, TX – Bonded senior friends are at risk of losing their lives after winding up at an animal shelter following the death of their owner. The dog, Rosie (9 years) and her friend, Mittens (12 years) were surrendered to the Midland Animal Shelter and advocates are trying to find them a home together, before they are put down.
Over the weekend, a social media post was made on their behalf:
Rosie and Mittens desperately want to stay together. We are hoping a kindhearted loving person or a rescue can help them. It’s not everyday we see a bonded dog and cat. These seniors have been together all their life. So we are praying they can live their life out together.
The post explains that no one was available to take the pair in after their guardian died. Describing the toll shelter life is taking, “Mittens is coping because Rosie is with her. But Rosie is not only depressed being in the shelter but also trying to makes sense of where her owner is. Her one constant is Mittens being with her.”
Will you please take a moment to network on behalf of these senior friends? They are grieving and at risk, and they need help right now.
