Baldwin Park, CA – Months ago, a gorgeous German shepherd named Gloria was taken in at a busy California animal shelter. Gloria has no idea why she lost her home or her family, and she has no idea why she is forced to spend her days in a lonely kennel run.
Gloria has been at the Baldwin Park animal shelter since September…and rumor has it, she is now the shelter’s longest resident.
There was a time when gorgeous dogs like Gloria would be adopted quickly. But now, animal shelters are bursting at the seams with dogs who have been cast aside by their families and there are simply not enough adopters to save them all.
A poignant social media post has been made on Gloria’s behalf:
5-year old Gloria wasn’t expecting to be in this shelter. She thought the home she had, was forever. Now she spends her entire day in this little cement box, in a loud, overcrowded shelter.
