Beautiful Husky Saved From 20 Foot Deep Sinkhole Only To Be Forgotten At Shelter

Update 6/29/2023: Sinky has been rescued!

San Bernardino City, CA – A beautiful husky was saved after falling into a 20-foot-deep sinkhole, but now it appears that he has been forgotten. The senior dog, dubbed Sinky, was taken to the San Bernardino City Animal Control on May 17, but nobody came to get him and he has not been rescued or adopted.

A social media post on Sinky’s behalf reads:

This poor fellow was found at the bottom of a 20′ sinkhole on 5/17/23. That’s one month ago from when this post is being made. They don’t know how long he had been there but he was treated for dehydration. He likely sustained injuries in the fall but unfortunately was not x-rayed by the shelter’s vet. They gave him pain injection on 5/18. Not sure if he has had any since then.

How tragic would it be for Sinky to survive a terrible fall, only to die because nobody wants to save him from the animal control agency? Please help spare Sinky’s life by sharing his adoption information.
