Hamilton County, Indiana – An adorable, affectionate senior cat named Stormy is in need of a new home after her prior owner left the country. According to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, the 10-year-old cat was emotionally traumatized when she lost her family:

Stormy’s heart has been broken, and now she’s searching for a loving home to mend it. After spending nearly a decade with her owner, she was left behind when they moved to another country, leaving her confused and stressed. Despite everything, this resilient 10-year-old tabby has fought through it all – shedding pounds, managing diabetes, and learning to trust again.

The pretty tabby has been waiting for quite some time – two years in fact. And in that time, she has shed some weight, overcome her fear, and manage her diabetes. All that is left is securing a loving home.

The shelter writes:

“Now that my diabetes is under control, I would love to find my forever home. My dream is a quiet home where my new owner gives me plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable.”
