Emaciated Dog, Wrapped in Hoodie, Discarded in Driveway

Everett, WA – Earlier this month, a heartbreaking discovery was made at the end of a driveway in Snohomish. According to the Everett Animal Shelter, someone found an emaciated dog, wrapped in a hoodie, unresponsive on the driveway.

The dog, Nicole, was rushed to the Pilchuck Veterinary hospital where she was revived.

The Everett Animal Shelter (EAS) has revealed Nicole’s pitiful body condition, writing:

Nicole arrived at EAS on March 10th, weighing a shocking 14 pounds, all her bones visible under her dingy coat. Nicole was unable to even stand, she was so weak she was urinating while laying down and her bedding had to be changed numerous times a day. Both her hips had sores so deep you could practically see her bone.

Snohomish County Animal Serivces was hoping to find someone responsible for Nicole’s condition, but they have not yet been successful. The Everett Animal Shelter is hopeful that someone will recognize her and have more information.

If you recognize this dog, please reach out to the Everett Animal Shelter at 425-257-6000 or eas@everettwa.gov.
Donations to Nicole’s care can be made on to the shelter’s website.

Note: Nicole was found on 228th St SE near 138th Ave SE, in the Echo Lake area of Snohomish
