Family’s Missing Dog Found Dead in Stolen Vehicle

Berwyn, Ill. – A family’s senior dog was found dead in their stolen SUV, months after the vehicle was taken. Wally, a 14-year-old Pomeranian, was in Rafael Corona’s white 2017 Subaru Forester SUV when it was stolen in late December. The family was in the midst of unloading laundry from the vehicle when someone took advantage of the situation and drove it away.

Wally’s family hoped that he would be found alive, but those hopes were crushed when the police let them know that their SUV was recovered, and Wally’s body was still inside.

In a social media post, Corona wrote:

Today, I was informed that my stolen vehicle was recovered. My boy Wally was found still inside, deceased. He likely froze shortly after the vehicle was stolen. I don’t have many more details yet.

Rest easy Wally.
