Remains of 2 Missing French Bulldogs Found in Crab Pots

Ketchikan, AK – The search for two missing French bulldogs came to a tragic end near the Thorne Bay Harbor. According to officials, the remains of the missing dogs were found during a routine Alaska Wildlife Troopers shellfish inspection.

In a news release, officials said that remains were found in two crab pots:

Each crab pot both contained the remains of a domesticated dog. The two French bulldogs had gone missing on 2/13/2025 in Thorne Bay and their owners had been actively searching for them.

As reported by KTUU News, the dogs, Yoda and Whiskey, vanished from a logging site where their owners were working. A $1,000 reward was offered for their safe return – the reward has been more than doubled, to $2500, for information leading to the identification of whoever is responsible for the dogs’ deaths.

Troopers had put the crab pots back where they were found with the hope of identifying who they belong to, but someone cut the ropes and removed them from the area during the night.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of the bulldogs are encouraged to contact the Prince Of Wales AWT Post at 907-826-2291
