South Windsor, CT – On March 3, a pit bull was dragged behind a moving vehicle in South Windsor. According to sources, Tre S. Patrizz, 26, was driving his car with the dog tethered to it.
Patrizz claims he “forgot” that the dog was tethered to the vehicle, but witnesses say they had to literally cut off Patrizz’s vehicle to make him stop reports the Daily Voice. The dog, Krown, was taken to a veterinary hospital with severe road rash to his paws and stomach area – though badly injured, he is expected to survive.
Police arrested Patrizz not long after the dog was taken to the veterinarian for care.
Krown belongs to Briana Jones, who had hired the self-proclaimed dog-trainer after becoming worried that her dog was lacking mental stimulation. Jones thought Patrizz was legitimate and she regrets leaving her pet in his care.
She tells the Stamford Advocate, “It was devastating and I was so confused. I had a conversation with Tre. I told him that I knew Krown was very energetic and playful and if he ever became too much to bring him back home.”
Patrizz is free on bond; he is due in state Superior Court in Manchester at 10 a.m. on April 24. Krown is still recovering from his injuries. Over $3,000 has been raised for the dog’s veterinary expenses at this fundraiser.
