Deadline Looms for Bow-Legged Puppy Taken in as a Stray

San Bernardino, CA – The February 4, 4 p.m. medical deadline for a bow-legged puppy is drawing frightfully near. The four-month-old puppy was picked up as a stray on January 31 and taken to the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter.

The pup is quickly running out of time as his stray hold draws to a close.

The puppy’s medical notes indicate he may need surgery in the future to fix his legs:

The patient appears to have both of his front legs bowing outward and periodically his paws appear to point upwards when he walks. The patient appears to have a possible angular limb deformity (carpal varus), and this causes him to have an abnormal gait, possibly leading to pain, discomfort and often lameness in the future. Patient will possible need long term medication and possible surgery.

Surgery or not, this puppy needs to be rescued sooner than later. Please share his adoption information to help save his life.
