West Memphis, TN – After four years of providing love and loyalty to her family, a dog named Jinx was unceremoniously surrendered to an animal shelter in West Memphis. Adding insult to injury, Jinx is heavily pregnant.
The West Memphis Animal Shelter has expressed dismay, and disgust, over the heartbreaking situation, writing:
There are so many things we would like to say regarding this situation, but we will refrain. Our disappointment, anger, sadness, frustration, and disbelief are best kept quiet. After all, what good would it do to tell the world we have pretty much lost hope in humankind?
Jinx did not mean to be an inconvenience to her family, but apparently, she was, and today, she sits in a lonely kennel run, wondering what happened, and what she did wrong.
The shelter writes:
Brought to us pregnant and confused, she now sits on a cold concrete floor, waiting to give birth. We anticipate that it could be any hour now, as the stress of being displaced will most likely throw her into labor.
Unlike Jinx’s prior owners, the shelter has vowed to provide care and love to this cast aside dog, and her soon-to-be newborn babies.
