Man Shoots Neighbor’s Cat For Leaving Paw Prints On Car

Georgetown, Kentucky – A family in Georgetown lost their cat in a terrible act of cruelty committed at the hands of their neighbor. As reported by WKYT, 12-year-old cat, Gray Baby, was shot by 52-year-old Christopher Jones, who was angry that the cat was being a nuisance, specifically, leaving paw prints on his vehicles.

Jones did not deny the cruel act, in fact, he told the authorities that shooting the senior cat with a rifle was something he felt he was justified to do.

Gray Baby belonged to Kristin Brandenburg, who fears what her neighbor might do next, telling the news agency, “It just doesn’t make sense why somebody would do that – that evil could live right next door to you. It also puts me in fear because what’s he going to do now? I have other animals; I have two dogs.”

Jones may be punished under Ethan’s Law, which took effect in July. The law states that torture of a dog or cat can result in a felony charge. Brandenburg has secured an attorney who plans to pursue the case against Jones.
