Young Shepherd Shattered After His Best Friend Was Euthanized

Update: Rescued!

San Bernardino, CA – A young German shepherd’s heart is shattered after his best friend was euthanized at the San Bernardino City Animal Control facility. The year-old sable shepherd, Rocky, was bonded to a dog named Nova, and advocates worked to get them adopted (or rescued) together, but that did not happen, and Nova is now gone forever, leaving Rocky alone and devastated.

Rocky’s advocate writes:

His heart is shattered. ROCKY #a567797 came into City of San Bernardino Animal Services with his best friend NOVA #a567798 on 7/16/24 after they were confiscated together from a property in the City of Fontana, CA. They shared a kennel and snuggled closely to protect each other from the scary cries and nonstop barking and fights all around them. On August 24, Rocky’s world came crashing down. NOVA was euthanized and he was left all alone in this world.

There is still time to save Rocky’s life. Please network his adoption information – this gorgeous dog deserves to live out his life. Thank you.
