Nobody Expresses Interest In Friendly Senior Cat, Left Homeless After Owner Died

Orlando, FL – A senior cat has spent weeks in a Florida animal shelter, watching other cats get attention, and homes, while being completely ignored. The nine-year-old cat, Oreo, came to the Orange County Animal Services facility after his owner passed away.

But potential adopters are not interested in a senior cat, opting to visit and adopt the younger cats instead. Albert Harris, the shelter’s photographer writes,

He watches other cats across from him get adopted while no one interacts with him as if he doesn’t exist. Seniors like Oreo are treated like this everyday as everyone goes for younger cats and kittens.

Adding:

Since his arrival, no one has expressed any interest in him.

What a sad situation Oreo is in. He went from living in a home, with someone he loved, to sitting in a small kennel, waiting to be noticed.

Please help change Oreo’s life for the better by sharing his adoption information. Someone out there has the love and space to give this beautiful senior cat a home to enjoy for the remainder of his life.
