Fort Worth, TX – On Wednesday, a good Samaritan saw someone dumping a box on the side of a highway in Fort Worth. Curious, he slowed down and it was then that he noticed a puppy peeking through a crack in the box.
The good Samaritan turned around and opened the box where he found eight puppies inside…left for dead by the person who dumped the box and drove away.
The Humane Society of North Texas said:
It’s shocking and makes us sick to our stomachs to think about what could have very easily happened. These puppies owe their lives to that Good Samaritan who listened to his gut and knew something was wrong.
Fortunately, some of the puppies have already been cleared by a veterinarian for adoption.
On Thursday, the shelter said:
Since we have had so much interest from the community, we are going to head over to the PetSmart at Montgomery Plaza for a one day adoption event! We will have several of the highway puppies, and a few of their friends!
Join us for a Puppy Palooza inside the PetSmart Montgomery Plaza store on Friday, December 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.!
