Downey, CA – There is no holiday joy for a young German shepherd named Greico. The nearly three-year-old dog was surrendered by his family on November 18, and today, he sits on death row.

What was Greico’s horrible offense? His family told the shelter that he was hyper. Rather than putting in the necessary work to ensure that Greico would be a wonderful family companion, he was surrendered to a busy shelter where dogs are killed daily because there is no space.

And now, Greico is facing his own demise – for doing nothing other than be a young dog. An advocate writes:

Gorgeous GSD Grieco is now urgent his plea expired.

Greico is a Majestic long tall medium length hair beauty . He would make an exceptional companion for a gsd lover who knows this breed.

Adding:

He is a beauty. I wish I captured it. All my gsd lover friends would be in love.

He’s calm dog large approved. He just needs a home with a good match. He will be a fine dog to love forever.
