Los Angeles, CA – On December 8, a handsome German shepherd pup was picked up as a stray and taken to the Los Angeles Animal Services – North Central Shelter. At the facility, the staff noticed that he was running into everything.
A veterinary exam revealed that the young dog is completely blind. An advocate writes:
HE WAS SEEN BY THE VET HES COMPLETELY BLIND IN BOTH EYES ! HES THE SWEETEST TEMPERED BABY BOY HE JUST NEEDS SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE FOR BLIND DOGS!
Shelters are frightening and overwhelming for most dogs. Imagine the confusion this dog feels living in complete darkness.
