Update 9/25: Safe/Rescued!
Van Nuys, CA – A dog who was picked up in a Walmart parking lot and taken to the Los Angeles Animal Services – East Valley Shelter on Tuesday is garnering a great deal of attention because of his deformed face.
It is unknown if the deformity is the result of an injury or abuse, or if the dog may have been born this way. The Saving East Valley Shelter Dogs Facebook page has provided this dog’s adoption information:

Description: My name is Boo and I am an unaltered male, brown Mixed Breed.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.
Weight: I weigh approximately 13 pounds.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 19, 2023.

According to social media posts, a rescue group may have contacted the shelter to take this dog in, but as of the writing of this article (on Wednesday night) the adoption profile through the shelter is still active.
