Rescuers Capture 33 Himalayan Cats Dumped In Park Areas

Wheaton, MD – Dozens of cats have been rescued from neighborhood and park areas in Wheaton where someone dumped them. According to the Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition, a total of 33 cats were captured, and a trapper is attempting to catch another cat that was recently spotted.

The group was contacted by the Maryland National Capital Park Police after several cats and kittens were found near Wheaton Regional Park.

The captured cats are described as “scared and hungry” but in otherwise good condition.
